Abstract
Pneumonia is one of the diseases of respiratory tract infections most often occur. The use of antibiotics is the main therapy in the treatment of pneumonia. This study aims to determine the use of antibiotics in childhood pneumonia patients in Inpatient Hospital Pandan Arang Boyolali in 2016 which includes the right dose, the right medication and the rightpatient. The method used is descriptive method with data taken penggumpulan retrospectively. The population in this study were all patients with pneumonia of children listed in medical records in hospitals Pandan Arang Boyolali 2016. The sample in this study are patients with pneumonia of children contained in the medical record use of antibiotics in hospitals Pandan Arang Boyolali in 2016 adjusted for the inclusion criteria. The study was conducted on 50 patients with pneumonia of children who met the inclusion criteria. The results research shows that the use antibiotics in the treatmen installation of Pneumonia Children hospital in RSUD Pandan Arang Boyolali in the year of 2016 already in accordance with the standars International Childh Health, Dipiro Guideline dan Hospital formulary. Evaluation of rational antibiotic use based on appropriate criteria patients (100%), the right indication (100%), the right medication (78%) and the right dose (77%).
