Abstract
Drug related problems (DRPs) is one of the problems that arise in a therapy. Gastroenteritis is an inflammation of the gastrointestinal mucous membrane and is characterized by diarrhea and vomiting. Gastroenteritis is common in patients with under five years of age. Treatment of gastroenteritis treatment with intravenous fluids and antibiotics. this study aims to determine the characteristics of patients, patients' treatment profiles and cases of DRPs in gastroenteritis patients at the Regional General Hospital. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen period 2017. The non-experimental study in the form of a retrospective survey was conducted through a medical record of gastroenteritis patients undergoing inpatient by 2018 at Dr. Regional General Hospital. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen. Drug related problems assessed from the medical record data are then analyzed by using the percentage included in drug related problems. The data was compared to WGO (2012) and Permenkes (2014). The results obtained are drug related problems that occur in gastroenteritis therapy and drug dosage results are too low. Cases of drug related problems from 52 patients were 15 patients with drug-related problems. From the results of this study, it was concluded that the number of occurrences of drug related problems that occur affect the achievement of targets to minimize the frequency of diarrhea and restore body fluids due to dehydration and length of hospitalization of patients with improved clinical outcome.
