Abstract
Guava leaves (Psidium guajava L.) and chasew leaves (Anacardium occidentale L.) use as anthidiarrhea empirically. The purpose of this study is to know the activity of the extract combination from guava leaves and chasew leaves that have antibacterial activity to Escherichia coli ATCC 25922. The method to make ethanolic extract from guava and chasew leaves is macerate and using ethanol 96% as solvent. In this research using dilution and diffusion. The extract’s concentrations that use in dilution method are 50%; 25%; 12,5%; 6,25%; 3,12%; 1,56%; 0,78%; 0,39%; 0,19%; 0,09%. Ratio of combinations that use in diffusion method are is 1:1,1:3 and 3:1. Data obtained from the studies will analyzing with One Way Anova to know significan different from the data. The result of dilution method is Minimum Bactericid Concentration (MBC) 25%. Diffusion method that using boor prop method show more effective in ratio 3 : 1 with diameter 12,67 mm.
