Abstract

Drug Related Problems (DRPs) is an occurence that is not expected from the experience of patients or suspected due to drug therapy so it will can interfere with the healing of the expected successes. Typhoid fever is a disease caused by Salmonella typhi infection, so that that the line the first treatment using antibiotic. The use of antibiotics no right can result in the occurrence of resistance and can lead to the occurrence of Drug Related Problems (DRPs). This research was conducted to knowing the Drug Related Prbolems (DRPs) ideas of antibiotics occur typhoid fever in patients include inaccuacies andremedy selection dose of inaccuracy. The method us is cross-sectional method and used retrospective approach. The population of this study is all typhoid fever patients who hospitalized in general hospital of salatiga on 2015. The sample of this study is all typhoid fever patients from January until December 2015 and fulfill the inclusion criteria. The result showed a total of 86 patients, there was 48,84% who had not potential DRPs, 51,16% who had potential DRPs. Incidence of DRPs is incorrect drug selection 18 cases (27,69%), too low dose 34 cases (52,31%), and too high dose 13 cases (20%).
