Abstract

The fruit of black pepper (piper nigrum l.) has some benefits namely to increase the appetite, body refreshment, produce energy, improves body endurance and improve stamina. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of the effects of tonikum combination black pepper and honey. The object of this research is used the animal test by grouping it into 7 clusters and each group consists of 5 Swiss mice tails Webster. The groups are; group I positive control (caffeine), group II negative control (aquadest), group III infuse single black pepper 2 mg/20 g BB, group IV honey single 16mg/20 g BB, Group V combination (75:25) black pepper infuse 1.5 mg/20 g BB and honey 4 mg/20 g BB , Group VI combination (50:50) infuse black pepper 1 mg/20 g BB and honey 8 mg/20 g BB, Group VII combination (25:75) black pepper infuse 0.5 mg/20 g BB and 12 mg/20g honey B. The tonikum effect data is the additional of the tiring time which retrieved from the difference tiring time, after and before treatment. Results of this study was that the combination of honey and black pepper infuse has activity against murine strain tonikum Swiss Webster. The average of tiring time for positive control was 6.95 minutes, negative control was 0.34 minutes, black pepper infuse, single dose 2mg/20 g BB was 7.84 minutes, a single 16 mg dose of honey/20 g BB was 4.45 minutes, a combination dose of 1.5 mg/20 g BB: 4 mg/20 g BB was 9.17 minutes, a dose of 1 mg/20 combination g BB: 8 mg/20 g BB is 4.98 minutes, and a dose of 0.5 mg/20 combination g BB: 12 mg/20 g BB is 6.43 minutes. The dose that produces the effect is best combination tonikum infuse black pepper (75%) and honey (25%). Keywords : tonikum, infuse, black pepper (Piper Nigrum L.) honey.
