Abstract

Cesarean delivery in Indonesia is increasing every year, in 12 Education Hospitals increased 2.1% -11.8%. Cesarean delivery is susceptible to infection, in order to prevent infection required prophylactic antibiotics. Prophylactic antibiotics are antibiotics given before the patient enters the operating room aimed at reducing the risk of infection-related complications and postoperative infections. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the description of the use of prophylactic antibiotics used in patients sectio caesarea at the Regional General Hospital dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri in 2016. This research is non experimental research with descriptive method and retrospective data collection. The data used in this study sample were 175 patients and the data were obtained from the medical record. The description of prophylactic antibiotic use was then compared with Hospital Formula, POGI (Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology Indonesia) and ASHP Therapeutic Guidelines based on antibiotic type, antibiotic dose, duration of administration and route of antibiotic prophylaxis. The results showed from the sample of 175 patients at the Regional General Hospital dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri 2016 is Cefoperazone (48%), Ceftriaxone (25,1%), Cefotaxime (20%), Cefazolin (0,6%), Ceftriaxone and Metronidazole (1,1%), Cefoperazone and Metronidazole (4.6%), Cefotaxime and Metronidazole (0.6%) and 100% given intravenously. The Evaluation of appropriate usage of antibiotics are know for correct indication (100%), appropriate medications (0,6%), appropriate dosage (0,6%) and appropiate patient (100%) Keywords: Evaluation, Antibiotic Prophylaxis, Sectio Caesarea, RSUD Wonogiri
