Abstract

Schizoaffective is a chronic mental disorder which have bad impacts to the patients. One of the most dangerous impact from this mental disorder is suicide. The purpose of this study is to know the description of the use of antidepressant drugs and the rationality of the use of antidepressant drugs in the schizoafective patients at the Inpatient Installation of Surakarta Regional Mental Hospital 2015-2016 based on precise, precise, precise, appropriate dosage based on An overview of the treatment of Schizoaffective disorder. J Clin Psychiatry. This research used non experimental descriptive method (observational) with a retrospective data collection. Data used is secondary obtained from inpatient schizoaffective patient medical record card which contains about the indentity of the patient, include patient name, gender, age, diagnose, and The type drugs used during therapy for patient. The data obtained were analyzed according to An overview of the treatment of schizoaffective disorder. J Clin Psychiatry. Based on the results of the research, the most widely used antidepressant drug for scizoaffective patients is Fluoxetine with 52,3% percentage With the most widely used drug variation is risperidon as much as 90.9%. The rationality of the use of antidepressant was 100% appropriate in indication, 63,64% appropriate in drug of therapy, 100% approprite in patient, 100% appropriate in dosage.
