Abstract

High levels of heavy metal and exceeding normal limits on water can be an indicator of the occurrence of a pollutant in the environment. The existence of heavy metals in the environment such as iron is an environmental problem that needs special attention, action and prevention. The high level of public consumption on water and the dangers of ferrous metals to health then the need for inspection to determine the levels of heavy metals in ground water. The determination of Fe (iron) on groundwater was done by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometric Method. Groundwater that has been taken then carried out destruction by using HNO3 solution then carried out the heating process. Then the sample was diluted with distilled water, the solution filtered with whatman paper and tested qualitatively and quantitatively using atomic absorption spectrophotometry (SSA). The results of the study of iron and iron content in ground water A.A, A.T, A.B obtained results respectively that is 0.2071 mg / L, 0.1786 mg / L, and 0.2753. Based on Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 32 Year 2017 The concentration of iron content allowed in drinking water is less than 1.0 mg / L.
