Abstract
Larvasidal is an insecticide used to kill the stage of larvae or nymph. The seeds of sweetsop can be used as botanical larvacide, the compounds that act as larvicides are alkaloids, phenolics, saponins and flavonoids who have inconsist ini sweetsop seeds. This study aims to determine the larvacidal activity of ethanol extract, n-hexane fraction, ethyl acetate fraction, and water fraction of sweetsop seeds, the second is to determine LC50 value of ethanol extract, n-hexane fraction, ethyl acetate fraction, and water fraction of sweetsop seeds, and the last is to determine the most effective larvaside from hanol extract, n-hexane fraction, ethyl acetate fraction, or water fraction of sweetsop seeds This research used maseration to obtained sweetsop seeds extract, while to got fraction was used fractionation by separating funnel. The value of larvacidal activity was assessed from the mortality of the larvae depicted by the LC50 value calculated by used the probit formula. The mean value of LC50 ethanol extraxt was 0,130 ppm, in the ethyl acetate fraction was 1,600 ppm, in n-hexane fraction was 2,325 ppm, and in water fraction was 7,829 ppm.The results showed that ethanol extract of sweetsop seeds has the most effective larvacidal activity against 3rd instar of Aedes aegypti larvae. Keywords: larvacide, sweetsop seeds, extract, fraction, LC50
