Abstract

The fly is a type of arthropod belonging to the order Diptera. Some species of flies are the most important species in public health problems, namely as a vector of disease transmission. As a mechanical vector the fly carries the seeds of the disease through the limbs such as the hairs on its sycophants, legs, wings and mouth. The purpose of this study was to determine the type of pathogenic bacteria on the body surface of the Chrysomya megacephala fly which was obtained from the Market and Disposal Site of Mojosongo Surakarta garbage. Chrysomya megacephala flies were selected and identified, then isolated on specific media and performed gram staining and biochemical tests to determine the bacterial species. Based on the results of Identification of Pathogenic Bacteria on Body Surfaces Flies Chrysomya megacephala obtained in Market and Final Disposal Site Garbage Mojosongo Surakarta bacteria found Salmonella sp. And found other bacteria that is Citrobacter sp, Klebsiella sp, Pseudomonas sp, Proteus sp, and Serratia sp. Key words: Chrysomya megacephala, Market, Landfill, Bacteria
