Abstract
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a serious health problem characterized with increased of blood glucose levels, in which fasting blood glucose ≥126 mg/dL and random blood glucose ≥200 mg/ dL. Diabetic patients may develop some complications, one of which is nephropathy diabetes. After 7-10 years, diabetic (DM) patients will develop glomerulosclerosis with the increase in capillary membrane permeability allowing a little amount of albumin to pass into urine. The persistent presence of microalbuminuria is the early sign of diabetic nephropathy in Diabetes Mellitus. The aim of this research is to find out microalbuminuria incidence in type-2 diabetic patient. This scientific paper is compiled based on the data of research collected in Prodia Clinical Laboratory with 20 first-morning void urine samples of type 2 diabetic patients in Puskesmas Eromoko 1 and supported by qualified sources that has been published. The examination was conducted with immunoturbidimetry method, using albumin-creatinine ratio (ACR). The result of microalbumin examination with 20 urine samples showed that 4 patients (20%) developed microalbuminuria, 3 patients (15%) developed macroalbuminuria, and 13 patients (65%) developed normoalbuminuria.
