Abstract

Appropriate management of pediatric patient with urinary tract infections should be accompanied by a process of analysis of the therapy given so that it is expected to prevent recurrent infections, inappropriate antibiotic prescribing, the number of types and classes of antibiotics used and an increase in the number of antibiotic resistance used. This study aims to determine the pattern of use and appropriateness of antibiotic use at inpatients RSUD dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri 2017 The period from January to July. This study is non experimental research. This study is descriptive with retrospective data collection. There are 60 samples who includes to the inclusion criteria. The sample of this study is pediatric patients urinary tract infection at inpatient 2017 period January-July. Samples obtained were analyzed the suitability with guideline with parameters are right drug, right route, right dosage and right frequency. The results showed that kind of antibiotics used here Cefotaxim (76,66%), Ceftriaxone (10%), Viccillin (8,33%) and Ampicillin (5%). From the results it can be concluded that right drug and right route according IDAI and CPS (100%), right dosage according IDAI (100%) and CPS (88,33%), right frequency according IDAI (78,33%) and CPS (86,66%).
