Abstract

Hypertension causes a decrease in blood supply and oxygen to the placenta and food to the fetus causes fetal development to be inhibited and preterm labor occurs, so the selection of drugs used must be safe and effective, so this study is conducted to determine the type of drug given and the precentage of rationality of use of antihypertensive drugs in patients preeclampsia in the inpatient installation of Dr. Moewardi at 2016. The study was retrospective and non-experimental by taking data from medical records of preeclamptic patients at the Inpatient Installation of Dr. Moewardi in 2016. The rationality examined is the exact indication, exact drug, right dose and right patient.based on JNC VIII and POGI 2016. The most widely used antihypertensive monotherapy is the Calcium Channel Blocker / CCB (nifedipine) group of 74.83% and the combination of the two drugs used are CCB and Central Agonists α-2 (nifedipine and methyldopa) 23.08%. The rationale for the use of antihypertensive drugs based on JNC VIII and POGI 2016 is the exact indication, exact drug, right dose and exact patient 100%.
