Abstract
Fisetin (7,3,4'-tetrahydroksiflavonol) is a flavonoid compound with various activities as a natural antioxidant. Fisetin has a very low bioavailability of about 10%, this is because of the small water solubility (0.002 mg / ml) and low absorption so that the fetal preparation in oral and dermal dosage forms is limited. One approach to increasing solubility is Solid Lipid Nanoparticles technology. This research used combination of surfactans that lechitin and various type of tween (20/60/80) Ultasonic is a vibration of sound with a frequency exceeding the limits of human hearing that is above 20 KHz. SLN formula made by combination of solvent emulsification and sonication method. The result showed that fisetin can be prepared by Solid Lipid Nanoparticles with combination of solvent emulsification and sonication method, combination of surfactant lechitin and tween 80 yielding the smallest particle size, the entrapment efficiency of best formula was 89,2%. There was an increase in particle size after storage is 589,2 and zeta potential value after storage was -32,2. Keywords : Fisetin, SLN, Emulsification, Sonication.
