Abstract

Atherosclerosis is the biggest cause of Coronary heart disease that accounts for the greatest death rate in the world. The amount of treatment required causes the risk of Drug Related Problems (DRPs) to increase the outcome of therapy. the purpose of this study was to know the characteristics of patients and cases of DRPs in patients with atherosclerosis. One aspect relating to this is DRPs The research method used is purposive sampling and retrospective data. The population of this study were patients with atherosclerosis diagnoses who met the inclusion criteria treated at the Inpatient Installation of the Regional General Hospital DR. Moewardi Surakata period 2016. The sample of this study is the medical record data of atherosclerosis patients in 2016 that fit the inclusion criteria. The results showed that of 71 patients, there were 17 cases with DRPs. The highest incidence of DRPs is drug interaction 82,35%, doses too low 11,77%, inappropriate drug 5,88% and doses too high 0% Based on DRPs evaluation that has been done from all cases included in potential DRPs because no found significant signs on vital examination and patient clinical condition.
