Abstract
Hyperglycemia in Diabetes Mellitus causes increased levels of free radicals. Autooxydation in the process of hyperglycemia triggers the formation of free radicals. Free radicals can damage cell membranes, a lipid peroxide or malondialdehid (MDA). Mangifera caesia leaves one source of natural antioxidants as antidiabetic. The purpose of this research is to know an extract ethanol leaves wani that can be lowered blood glucose levels and dosage of effective to reduce blood glucose and malondialdehid the nature of all that in the mice of those that is induced alloxan Leaves wani extracted uses the method remaserasi with a solvent ethanol 96%. This study was conducted using 30 male Wistar rats. Divided into six groups, each of 5 rats, Group I (Normal control), group II (Negative control) that induced alloxan, group III (Positive control) given glibenklamid, Group IV, V, VI (Treatment control) extract ethanol leaves wani doses 125 mg per kilogram BB, 250 mg per kilogram BB, and 500 mg per kilogram BB. Treatment was given for 14 days. The measurement of blood glucose used GOD-PAP and measurement of MDA used the method TBARS. The resultsof this study showed that ethanol extracts of mangifera caesia leaves dose move effective in lowering blood glucose levels and levels of malondialdehid were dose of 500 mg/kg bw. Data analyzed by using Statistical for Social Sciences (SPSS 17.0) 17.0 with method One Way Anova Analysis of Variance followed Post Hoc Test.
