Abstract

Cranberry seed oil is easily decomposed by heat, moisture, light, or oxygen. The development of cranberry seed oil who form into a nanocapsulated dosage will be very potential related to the many properties possessed by cranberry seed oil. Therefore, the form of nanosencapsulated preparation is a solution to improve the effectiveness and bioavailability of cranberry seed oil. The aim of this research is to know that cranberry seed oil can be made in stable nanoencapsulation form by using variations of Sodium Alginate (Na-Alginate) polymer. This study was used cranberry seed oil as an active substance formulated into 4 formulas with stabilization agent of Tween 80 5%, variation of Na-Alginate polymer concentration ie 0.1%, 0.3%, 0.5%, 0.7% and time Sonication for 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 25 minutes. Nanoencapsulated preparation of the formula in particle size test, zeta potential, transmittance percent, and stability. The results stated that cranberry seed oil can be made into nanocapsulation preparations. The difference in the concentration of sodium alginate polymer and the time of reproductive sonication to the physical properties of the nanostructured preparation and its stability. Nanoencapsulation F2 with 0,3% Na-Alginate polymer concentration with sonication time 25 minutes due to particle size equal to 315,70, zeta potential equal to -14.54mV,% transmittan equal to 88,1% and stability better than other formula. Key Word : Nanoencapsulation, Cranberry Seeds Oil, Na-Alginate Polymer, Sonication
