Abstract
Pneumonia is the occurrence of inflammation in the distal lung parenchyma which starts from the terminalis bronchioles, including the respiratory bronchioles and alveoli and may lead to consolidation of lung tissue and local gas exchange disturbances. Microbiological examination in patients with pneumonia aims to determine the type of bacteria that cause pneumonia and know the appropriate antibiotics for therapy. The pattern of germs is a solution in the selection of antibiotics given in overcoming pneumonia infections, so in determining the antibiotic should be in accordance with clinical conditions and patterns of antibiotic and bacterial resistance in the hospital. The research was conducted by retrospective data retrieval method based on data from patient's medical record of pneumonia and microbiology examination result at Inpatient Installation of dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten in 2017 and analyzed descriptively. The results showed the incidence of pneumonia in RSUP dr Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten 2017 as many as 344 patients. The dominant pneumoniacausing bacteria in the ICU chamber is Klebsiella pneumoniae with good sensitivity to amikacin and meropenem and has poor sensitivity to amoxicillinclavulanate, ampicillin, gentamicin, ceftriaxone, ciprofloxacin, cotrimoxazole, cefazolin, piperasilin-tazobactam, levofloxacin, cefuroxime and tobramycin. The bacteria that cause pneumonia in non ICU chambers is Klebsiella pneumoniae with good sensitivity to amikacin, meropenem, levofloxacin, tobramycin and have poor sensitivity to cefazoline, ciprofloxacin, cefuroxime, cotrimoxazole, ceftriaxone, gentamicin and amoxicillin-clavulanate.
