Abstract

The researcher has done research about the effect of administration a combination of extract ethanol bark cinnamomum and extract extract water of leaf papaya against triglycerides level on white mice. The study aims to determine the effectiveness and the effective dose of combination extract ethanol bark cinnamomum and extract water of leaf papaya than single dose. This research used 35 white mice where divided into 7 groups, than are : positive control (gemfibrozil), negative control (CMC 0,5%), combination dose I (0,285 gram/kgBB:0,94 gram/kgBB), combination dose II (0,19 gram/kgBB:1,875 gram/kgBW), combination dose III (0,095 gram/kgBB:2,815 gram/kgBW),single dose of bark cinnamomum (0,375 gram/kgBW), and single dose of leaf papaya (3,75 gram/kgBW) before that, already got high fat diet. The animals test measured triglycerides levels on day-0, day-14, day-21, and day-28. Concluded of the research shows that the combination of extract bark cinnamomum and extract leaf papaya more effective reduce triglycerides levels on blood serum white mice if given separately in single dose. The most effective combination is dose III (0,095 gram/kgBB : 2,815 gram/kgBW) but the effectiveness under single dose of extract leaf papaya.
