Abstract

Hypertension or High Blood Pressure is one of degenerative disease which needs a long-life treatment, hospital care and number of doctor visits, that has impacted to the expensive cost of treatment. This research objective is to know which antihypertensive is cost most effective between diltiazem and amlodipine to hypertension patient in Hospitalization Installation of District Hospital of Sukoharjo in year 2016. This research was conducted in cross sectional way which aims to know the effectiveness of treatment cost of hypertension using diltiazem and amlodipine to the hypertension patient at Hospitalization Istallation of General hospital on around Sukoharjo district in year 2016. Data Collection Technique was conducted retrospectively through secondary data search, those are patient medical record and patient’s Hospitalization bill at Regional General Hospital Sukoharjo in year 2016. Subject of the research is patient that meet the inclusion criteria, in total 57 people. Inclusion criteria means a patient that gets diltiazem and amlodipine drug therapy. The measurment of antihypertensive effectivity is by counting the amount of patient which the blood pressure is reach the target population with age ≥ 60 years < 150/90 mmHg and population aged < 60 years < 140/90. Cost Analysis was gotten by counting the average of cost effectiveness ratio (ACER) value. The research result shows that amlodipine is cost more effective than diltiazem with the precentage number of effectivity at the rate 85,29% and 56,52 % in succession, ACER value running at Rp. 12.914,24 and Rp. 20.015,73. Therefore, amlodipine is cost more effective than diltiazem. Key words : Cost effecviveness Analysis of, antihypertensive, hypertension, diltiazem, amlodipine
