Abstract
Tuberculosis was an infectious disease whose treatment using drugs isoniazid and rifampicin have side effects liver disorders. Dutch eggplant fruit (Cyphomandra betacea Sendtn) having hepatoprotective effect was expected to prevent damage to the liver cells. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of Dutch eggplant juice to decreased levels of liver cell damage induced rat isoniazid and rifampicin. This study used a sample of 30 male rats were divided into 6 groups of 5 mice each. The groups were among other groups of normal [K1; CMC], negatif group [K2; Isoniazid and rifampicin], positive group [K3; methicol®], SBTB groups [P1; 17.5 g / kg bw], SBTB group [P2; 35 g / kg bw] and group SBTB [P3; 70 g / kg bw]. The results of each group was calculated by Kruscal Wallis test followed by Post Hoc test. The results showed that the Dutch eggplant juice (Cyphomandra betacea Sendtn) have hepatoprotective effects indicated by a decrease in the level of core damage liver cells was significant in rats induced by isoniazid and rifampicin. The treatment group with a dose of 70 g / kg bw Dutch eggplant juice has the most powerful hepatoprotective effect. Keywords: Liver Histopathology, dutch eggplant fruit juice, isoniazid, rifampicin.
