Abstract
Inflammation is a response to tissue injury and infection mild. Chemical mediators of inflammation is histamine, kinins, and prostaglandins can cause swelling, redness, pain and fever, and require treatment. The development of anti-inflammatory drugs of natural ingredients have been done, including from the leaves of breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis (Parkinson ex F.A Zorn) Fosberg) and turmeric (Curcuma domestica Val). In this study aims to provide antiinflammatory effects that are safe and effective, and determine the concentration of the combination are effective as anti-inflammatory. Breadfruit leaves and turmeric extracted by maceration method using ethanol 96%, extract formulated into a gel with a combination formulation 5:10, 10: 5, 7.5: 7.5 and a single formulation 0:10, 10: 0. The resulting gel testing the physical quality of the gel, then testing the nature of the test animals to determine the anti-inflammatory effects. Data were analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov, one way ANOVA test followed later Tukey test with significance (p 0.05). The results of this study indicate that the combination of extracts of leaves of breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis (Parkinson ex F.A Zorn) Fosberg) and turmeric (Curcuma domestica Val) may be formed in a gel formulation. The combination gel breadfruit leaf extract and turmeric has anti-inflammatory effects in tests on foot white male rats induced strain wistard karagenin solution of 1%. The combination of breadfruit leaf extract and turmeric which have the most optimal anti-inflammatory effects in mice induced foot karagenin solution of 1% that the formula III with a concentration of 7.5%: 7.5% Keywords: Ekstraksi, Gel, Sukun, Kunyit, Inflmasi, Artocarpus altilis (Parkinson ex F.A Zorn) Fosberg, Curcuma domestica Val.
