The skin is very vulnerble of the incision and need to got handling as soon as possible to prevent formation of larger wound. The plant as Taro leaf stalk can be use as an alternative drug in the skin wounds because of its contain as are flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, saponins and triterpenThe purpose of this study was to test taro leaf stalk ointment for wound healing and it stability. Taro leaf stalk extract was made three formulas for ointment with concentration of extract was 10% with comparison of basic ointments were 75:25, 50:50 and 25:75. Physical properties and stability of ointments tested organoleptic, homogenity, viscosity, spread power, lathced power and pH. Activity of wound healing did at skin of rabbits and then the result of measurements of the wound lenght were analyzed statistically by used Mann Whitney for ti know the differences of each treatment. Taro leaf stalk ointment given to wound healing activity. The result of analysis showed that the formula’s three provide comparable activity with positive control. Formula one is the most stable during storage. Keyword: Ointments, Colocasia esculenta L. schoot, incision wounds, PEG (Polyethylenglikol), rabbits
