Abstract

Kelor leaf and guava leaf used in traditional medicine to treat diabetes mellitus. This study aims to examine the effect of a combination of 96% ethanol extract kelor leaf and guava leaf to control blood glucose. Method of blood glucose levels is used alloxan diabetes test. Group I diabetic control (CMC 0,5%), group II control glibenklamid 0,09 mg/200 g BB, group III kelor leaf 70 % ethanol extract 100 mg/200 g BW, group IV guava leaf 70% ethanol extract100 mg/200 g BW, V combination of kelor leaf 70 % ethanol extract 100 mg/200 g BW and guava leaf 70% ethanol extract100 mg/200 g BW (50% : 50%). Examination of blood glucose levels performed on day 7 and 14. The analysis data using one way annova test and post hoc test. The results showed that single dose 70 % ethanol extract kelor leaf, guava leaf and combination of 70% ethanol extract of the iler leaf and guava leaf can lower blood glucose levels significantly negative with CMC. From the statistical analysis ethanol extract kelor leaf, guava leaf and the combination is there is no different meaning.
