Abstract

The researcher has done research about the effect of administration a combination of extract ethanol 70% of green onion chives leaves (Allium tuberosum Rottl ex. Spreng) and sweet orange peel (Citrus sinensis L.) against total cholesterol levels and triglycerides on hiperlipidemia white mice. This study aims to determine the effectiveness and the effective dose of combination extract green onion leaves than single dose of total cholesterol levels and triglycerides white mice. This research used 35 white mice for animals test which divided into 7 groups, that are : normal control, negatif control (aquadestillata), dose I (single extract of green onion leaves 110 mg/Kg BW), dose II (single extract of oranges peel sweet 50 mg/KgBW), dose III (55 mg/Kg BW : 25 Kg BW), dose IV (82,5 mg/Kg BW : 12,5 mg/Kg BW), dose V (27,5 mg/Kg BW : 37,5 mg/ Kg BW) before that, already got hiperlipidemia induction with high fat diet and propiltiourasil 0,1%. The animals test measured total cholesterol levels and triglycerides done on day to 0th day, 422nd day, and 56th day. The results of the research shows that the combination extract green onion leaves and extract sweet orange peel more effective reduce total cholesterol levels and triglycerides on blood serum white mice if given separately in single dose. The most effective combination dose IV (82, 5mg/Kg BW : 12,5 mg/Kg BW) but the effectiveness under single dose green onion leaves and single dose sweet orange peel.
