Abstract

Childbirth through surgical while vulnerable to infection this might have been caused the presence of microorganisms in an operating room at the operation was. To prevent infection wound in the aftermath of surgical operation they will sent prophylactic antibiotics. This research purposes to know using patterns prophylactic antibiotics in patients surgical of the geological fault that seen from the type of antibiotics , route administration , dose of conformity , frequency , and long its used conformity to formulary and Pharmacotherapy A Pathophysiologic Approach 9th. This research uses descriptive method with a retrospective data collection. Data used is data secondary obtained from card medical record patient caesarean section received prophylactic antibiotics. Data obtained by the analyzed by formulary hospitals and Pharmacotherapy A Pathophysiologic Approach 9th. The research showed that the type of prophylactic antibiotic used were a third generation cephalosporin is cefotaxime (88%) with the intravenously administration of prophylactic antibiotic (100%). Doses of antibiotics used had not met the conformity of dose (79%) with the longlest duration of usage the prophylactic antibiotic is 1 day (100%).
