Abstract
Zodia (Euodia suaveolens Scheff.) is an endemic plant from Indonesia which from Papua. Refined oil from zodia leaf contains linalool and α-pinene. Growth regulator substance is a complementary component of media and plays an important role of plant growth and development. Growth regular substance that used in this study is BAP. This study aimed to know influence of media NP and addition of BAP on callus growth, and determine levels of linalool contained in the callus in GC. This study was conducted using plant tissue culture method with New Phalaenopsis media and added with growth regulators BAP dosage 0,5 ppm; 1 ppm; 1,5 ppm; 2 ppm. Callus evaluation was conducted on the presentage of successful callus explants formed, time induction, and subcultures. Analysis was performed using GC with Nitrogen gas as mobile phase. Linalool content was calculated by the linear regression equation. The result of the study showed that the use of BAP at a concentration of 1 ppm had a success percentage callus growth better than other concentration. The addition of BAP was not able to increase the formation of linalool. Key words : Zodia leaf callus, New Phalaenopsis (NP), growth regulator substance BAP, linalool
