Corn Cob contains flavonoids, saponins and polyphenols compound as antioxidant. The use of corn cobs directly less practical that needs to be done to facilitate the development of the use to be made preparations lotion. Lotion has more fluid consistency that allows the use quickly on the surface of the skin. The aim of this study was to find out the influence of difference concentrate of corn cob on lotion physical properties and potential antioxidant activity from those three formula. The corn cobs extract was obtained using maceration methode with ethanol 80% till obtain thick extract. The lotion formulation consist of three formulas with thick different extract concentrate 10%, 15% and 20%. The obtained lotions were examined the physical properties including organoleptic, homogeneity, viscosity, dispersive power, adhesiveness, emulsion type and pH test, then the antioxidant activity was tested by DPPH method. The result of this study indicated that corn cobs extract was able to produce lotion with good physical properties, but less stable during a first month storage. The test results showed that the antioxidant activity of three formula lotions were potential as antioxidants. The extracts and lotion formula were classified into weak antioxidants for inhibited DPPH free radical. Keyword: Corn cobs, Lotion, DPPH, Antioxidant
