Abstract

Caesarean section is a method of giving birth by making incision to the uterus and abdominal. Antibiotics are drugs to inhibit the growth of or kill microorganisms. The aim of the research is to know the description of antibiotics use for caesarean section patients which covers the group of antibiotics, the kinds of antibiotics, administration route, compliance dosage, frequency and the duration of antibiotics in Hospital Islam Surakarta 2015. This research a descriptive non experimental research, the method of taking data is by taking medical record of paten retrospectively, there are 301 data which fulfill inclusion criteria they are caesarean section patients who received antibiotics. The results of this research show that antibiotics which are used are the third generation of sefalosporin and penicillin are ceftriaxone (38,06%) and the combination of amoxicillin-klavulanat acid (28,98%). All pastiens caesarean section had gotten intravena and orally. Doses of antibiotics which are used had completed the standart dosage. The duration of he giving of antibiotics are 2 days by intravenously and 5 days by orally. Keywords : Analysis of antibiotics, caesarean section, RSI Surakarta.
