Abstract

Diabetes melitus became a main public health problem because its complications short-term and long-term. The importance of rationality evaluation to increase the efficacy of drug administration to patients. This study aim to know and evaluate the rational of in patient diabetes melitus type 2 medication in Dr Soediran Mangun Sumarso Hospital Wonogiri at 2015. The sample in this study were patients with main diagnose Diabetes Mellitus type 2 as many as 190 patients. This study is non experimental research that analyzed by descriptive method. Data were collected retrospectively from medical record patient. Data obtained were analyzed with standard of PERKENI 2011. The result of this study showed that 190 patients diabetes mellitus type 2 ini Dr Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri Hospital at 2015 comprised 72 men and 118 women, 123 cases (64,74%) were DM type 2 with complication diseases and 67 cases (35,26%) were DM type 2 without complication diseases. The result of this study showed that antidiabetic medication used were insulin, biguanid and sulfonylurea. Antidiabetic drug used was appropriate by Formulary Dr Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri Hospital. Evaluate rational of this study showed that patients had indication appropriate were 179 patients (93,68%), drug choice appropriate were 79 patients (46,32%), dosis appropriate were 79 patients (100%) and patient appropriate were 176 patients (98,32%).
