Abstract

Ischemic stroke is a syndrome consisting symptoms loss of function the central nerve system which growing rapidly due to further atherothrombotic or embolic, both of them can unterfe the cerebral blood flow (CBF). Antiplatelet and neuroprotektan are an ischemic stroke therapy used for restor the blood flow to the brain with remove blockage, also stop cellular damage caused by ischemic and reduce the occurrence of cell damage due to delay in blood flowthat supplies oxygen. The number of stroke sufferer in Indonesia increases in line with the change of the people’s lifestyle, from year to year, so many patient were admitted to the hospital. This study aims to determine the appropriateness of the drug use for ischemic stroke of inpatient installation at RSUD Dr. Harjono Ponorogo in 2015 This research includes a study of descriptive non-experimental with retrospective data collection from medical records of RSUD Dr. Harjono Ponorogo in 2015. The speciment took by using purposive sampling method. Ischemic stroke therapy which being used in the hospital were aspilet (4,63%), antiplatelet + citicolin (81,54%), aspilet + citicolin + pirasetam (13,83%). The suitability of ischemic stroke therapy was in accordance with the indication (100%), in accordance with the drug (100%), in accordance with the patient (100%), and in accordance with the dose (97,06%).
