Abstract
Leaves nasty shard (Strobilanthes crispus, BL.) Has long been known by the people of Indonesia as traditional medicine. Leaves nasty shard (Strobilanthes crispus, BL.) Is Verbenaceae. The research objective was to determine and prove the efficacy as an anti-hyperglycemic effects test and pinpoint the most effective dose 70% ethanol extract of leaves nasty shard as an anti-hyperglycemic. Penyarian process leaves nasty shard using maceration method by ethanol 70%. In the process of research using test animals white mice 25 male Wistar strain were divided into 5 groups with the condition that in the induction of alloxan diabetes monohydrate 5 ml / 200 g body weight. Negative control group CMC 1%, glibenclamide (0.9 mg / 200 g BW), dose (0.043 mg / 200 g BW), dose (0.086 mg / 200g BB), and the dose (0.130 mg / 200 g BW). Blood glucose levels were measured on day 1, the 3rd, 6th, 9th. Analysis of data obtained by Anova one way with a level of 95% followed Dunnett T3 test. The results showed that 70% ethanol extract at a dose of 0.043 mg / 200 g BB, 0.086 mg / 200 g body weight and 0.130 mg / 200 g BW can lower blood glucose levels strain Wistar male rats. The third dose tested significantly different views of the effects of anti diabetes. Dose of 0.130 mg / 200 g BW most effective in lowering blood glucose levels because at this dose results in blood glucose levels decline almost equivalent to the effect of the positive control (glibenclamide 0.9 mg / 200 g BW).
