Abstract

Hypertension is a health problems that requires treatment in earnest. The patients in-compliance to therapy is a major cause of the therapy failure so needs to be done counseling to increase compliance of patients hypertension. Program of Chronic Disease Management (PROLANIS) is a health care system for all member of Health Assurance Board especially chronic hypertension patients. The study was aimed to determine the effect of counseling in PROLANIS activity totherapy compliance of hypertension patientin Ngrampal Health Centre, Sragen. The study using Moizky Medicaton Adherence Scale (MMAS-8) questionnaire to measure the therapy compliance levels of hypertension patient. The study was pre-experimental design study with design used was The One group with pretest posttest design and sampling technique using purposive sampling. The methods used was One Group with pretest and posttest design. The sample used was 38 peoples taken fromhypertension patient member of Chronic Disease Management Program (PROLANIS) and meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The score data of MMAS compliance tested using Paired Sample-T Test, while data of effect patient characteristic to therapy compliance tested using Chi Square Test. The results obtained shows counseling in PROLANIS activitycould increase therapy compliance of hypertension patient in Ngrampal Health Centre, Sragen (P=0,000).The increase of therapy complianceaffect to decrease of systolic blood preasure (P=018) but did not affect to decrease of dyastolic blood preasure (P=0,374).
