Abstract
Pneumonia is a form of acute respiratory infections and is the leading cause of death in babies in the world. Treatment can be treated with ampicillingentamicin injection and ampicillin-chloramphenicol injection. Use of antibiotic for the treatment of pneumonia need to get attention, a therapy that would be very beneficial for the patients both in terms of health as well as in terms of cost. The purpose of this research to know the cost effectiveness analysis of drug use therapy of ampicillin-gentamicin injection and ampicillin-chloramphenicol injection for treatment at Dr. Moewardi Hospital in 2014-2015. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling of inpatients in Dr. Moewardi Hospital in 2014-2015. Calculation of the effectiveness of therapy in terms of Length of stay with the condition the patient returned home in a state of cured and comparison of average costs total use of gentamicin-ampicillin injection and ampicillin-chloramphenicol injection. Research result the average cost of a direct injection of medical ampicillingentamicin is Rp 2,167,611.821 while the average medical cost ampicillin chloramphenicol injection is Rp 2,127,744,125. The effectiveness of the therapy on ampicillin-gentamicin injection more effective percentage of 69.23% compared with ampicillin-chloramphenicol injection percentage 59,37%. Group therapy ampisilin-gentamicin more cost-effectiviness with ACER value of Rp. 3,131,029.621 than group therapy the ampicillin-chloramphenicol with ACER value of Rp. 3,583,871.189.
