Abstract
Inflammation occurs as the attempt of body to inactivate organisms that attack the body, removing irritants and regulate tissue repair. The aims of the research were to determine the antiinflamatory activity of ethanolic extract, fractions from pumpkin seed and to determine the highest activity from fraction. This research used 6 group, negative control (CMC-Na), positive control (Sodium Diklofenak 0,45 mg/ 200 g BB), n-hexane fraction 50mg/ 200 g BB, ethyl acetat fraction 39 mg/200 g BB, water fraction 33 mg/ 200 g BB and ethanolic extract 120 mg/ 200 g BB. The antiinflammatory effect was observed from the ability to inhibited edema volume. One way analysis of varian was done to know the difference in each treatment The results of the research showed that extract, fraction of pumpkin seed have antiinflamatory activity and n-hexane fraction showed the highest antiinflamatory activity and compared to positive control.
