Abstract

Cetirizin(CTZ) is one of anti histamine non-sedating drugs that has high solubility in water and high permeability so that categorized in Biopharmaceutical Classification System (BCS) class I. this drug available at marketplace in generic or trademark, so that have a different between formulation and fabrication method. The research aims to compared between generic product and trademark product in physical quality test and compared dissolution tablets. This product uses 5 10mg cetirizine film coated tablets that available at marketplace, that is 2 generic drug(OGA, OGB) and 3 trademark product (ODC, ODD, and ODE). The result for parameter Q45, DE60, and F2 shows all the products resulting different value. The highest of the Q45 is ODE.
