Abstract

Bipolar disorder is a brain disorder that causes instability in moods and manic depression, can occur a lifetime. The study aims to determine the pattern of drug use in bipolar patients in the Outpatient RSJ Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang Malang 2015. Patients research is bipolar affective disorder patients present hypomanic episodes in patients Outpatient in RSJ Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang Malang 2015, data retrieval is done retrospectively through medical records using descriptive method with a sample of 133 cases. The results showed two combinations of atypical antipsychotic drugs, anticonvulsants (12.4%) three combinations of atypical antipsychotics, anticonvulsants, and antiparkinson (6.2%), four combinations of atypical antipsychotics, anticonvulsants, antiparkinson and typical antipsychotic (5.3%) followed by atypical antipsychotic, anticonvulsant, and antipsychotic typical (4.4%) with the highest single treatment is risperidone (1.8%). Conformity according to a hospital formulary (100%), Standards of Medical Care (Code of Practice Clinic) appropriate (45%), are not appropriate (55%), the Association of Specialist Doctors Jiwa Indonesia appropriate (45%) disagree (55%), and Texas Medication Algorithm Project of Bipolar Disorder 2007 to comply (60%) and not appropriate (40%) .
