Abstract
Papaya seed extract on previous research has antihiperlipidemia activity against plasma LDL and HDL levels of mice. The purpose of this research was to determine the activity of antihiperlipidemia between the factions and the ethanol extract of papaya seeds on white male rats Galur wistar. White male rats were divided into 6 groups. Group 1 negative control solution of CMC 1%, 2 positive control group simvastatin 0.18 mg/200 g BB rats, 3 groups of ethanol extract of papaya seeds 30 mg/200 g BB rat, 4 groups of nhexane fraction 11.7071 mg200 g BB rats, group 5 ethyl acetate fraction of 4.7718 mg/200 g BB rats, and group 6 fraction of water 6.6508 mg/200 g BB rat was then adapted for 7 days. Day - 7 are given feed that is high in fat eggs quail and lard in all groups during two weeks. Day - 21 test solution given orally for 2 weeks. On day - 7 to - 21 and to - 35 performed fasting blood sample to measure plasma levels of HDL and LDL cholesterol CHOD-PAP method. The data was analyzed was using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and then proceed One Way ANOVA. Giving fraction of ethyl acetate can increase HDL levels by 48.20% and lowered LDL levels by 65.02% as proven by statistical analysis that shows that there are significant differences among all treatments, but did not show any significant difference between the fraction of ethyl acetate and simvastatin. The results of research showed fractions of ethanol extract of papaya seeds have antihiperlipidemia activity. Fraction ethyl acetate at a dose of 4.7718 mg/200 g rat BB effectively is lowers LDL levels and increase plasma HDL levels.
