Abstract

Government seeks to increase public awareness in a clean and healthy life behavior, and equitable distribution of health care, but health remains a problem in Indonesia. One reason is because of advances in technology and changes in lifestyle of the people who tend to be less health. This led to the development of diseases that encourage people to find alternative treatment a therapeutically effective but also efficient in cost, so self medication be taken to alternative by the public. The sampling method is done by total sampling on 199 respondents with a variable cost of expensive treatment, the speed of getting the drug, the information from the other party, the message advertising, consumer interests, the availability of drugs was analyzed by linear regression analysis simple and multiple linear regression analysis in SPSS version 18.0. The results showed a partial speed of getting the drug, advertising messages, information from other pihal, consumer interest, the availability of drugs in partial significantly influence consumer decisions in swamedikasi action, while the cost of treatment is expensive does not significantly influence the consumer's decision to perform an act swamedikasi. Simultaneously influence the significance value of 0.000 <0.05. Variable consumers swamedikasi action in Pharmacy Nur Asyifa Surakarta can be explained by factors expensive treatment costs, the speed of getting the drug, advertising messages, information from other parties, consumer interest and availability of drugs by 28.9%.
