Abstract
Curcuma that has an active ingredient, one of which is curcumin which has the potential as a hepatoprotector. This study was conducted to determine the effect of temulawak juice syrup that can reduce levels of SGPT and SGOT in male-induced parasetamol-induced wistar rats. This study used 30 rats divided into 6 groups of 5 each ie normal control group, negative control group (paracetamol), positive control group (curcuma 20 mg / kg BB), group IV were provided with syrup of temulawak 112,5 mg /kg BB, group V was given syrup 225 mg /kg BB, group VI was given syrup 337,5 mg/ kg BB All groups were treated for 13 days. Day 11-13 is given paracetamol except normal control. Day-0 and 14 are determined SGPT and SGOT levels, the data obtained were analyzed by One Way Annova test. The results of the study showed that 112,5 mg/kg BB, 225 mg/kg BB, 337,5 mg/kg BB the most effective dose in reducing SGPT and SGOT that is 337,5 mg/kg BB.
