Abstract
Typhoid fever is caused by Salmonella thypii entered the human body through contaminated food and drinks will enter into the small intestine and reaches the next limpoid tissue into the blood vessels. This study aims to determine the use of antibiotics in hospitalized patients with typhoid fever in Babat Muhammadiyah Hospital in 2013 and 2014. And compared with Hospital Formularium compliance and WHO guidelines. This research is a descriptive study with Data is collected retrospectively from medical records of patients hospitalized of typhoid fever in 2013 and 2014. The The research data was the use of antibiotics in patients with typhoid fever in Babat Muhammadiyah Hospital. Methods of using Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical (ATC) or Defined Daily Dose (DDD). Based on the results of the study antibiotic use methods of ATC / DDD and DU90% results of this research concluded that the use of antibiotic drugs most widely used by DU90% segment in 2013 Ceftriaxon (47.74) cefotaxime (11.76) Chloramphenicol (10.85) Ofloxacin (7 , 43) Thiamphenicol (6.39). And 2014 Ceftriaxon (38.67) Chloramphenicol (17.17) cefotaxime (15.84) Ofloxacin (11.88). Conformity based FRS in 2013 and 2014 (100%) and by the of WHO guidelines in 2013 (66.6%) and 2014 (71.4%).
