Abstract

Hypertension is blood pressure condition exceed to normal. Hypertension was 10 biggest disease in Prof. Z W. Johannes Hospital Kupang in 2013. The most commonly therapy used are captopril and lisinopril. Use of the drug in the long term so that impact on high cost of treatment, so it is necessary to compare which more cost-effectiveness. The purpose of this study was to determine effectiveness of captopril and lisinopril in hypertension therapy at inpatient of Prof. WZ Johannes Hospital in 2013. The sampling technique was purposive sampling from hypertension inpatient of Prof. WZ Johannes Hospital Kupang in 2013. Calculation of therapy effectiveness include decrease blood pressure reach therapy target as well as comparison total average cost of captopril and lisinopril use. Continued independent sample t-test to determine significant differences. The results showed that captopril cost class I were Rp Rp 1,842, and class II were Rp 1,529. Lisinopril cost class I were Rp 3,072 and class II were Rp 3,026. Lisinopril therapy obtain ACER value of Rp 1,208,251, so lisinopril therapy group was the most cost-effective than captopril therapy group.
