Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by elevated levels of glucose in the blood with multifactorial causes, especially insulin resistance with relative insulin deficiency to it’s secretion defect. Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 control controlled is represented by the value of HbA1c < 7,0%. Diabetes mellitus type 2 is uncontrolled diabetes control expressed by the value of HbA1c ≥ 7,0%. The aim of this study was to compare the serum triglyceride levels in patients with type 2 diabetes uncontrolled and uncontrollable. HbA1c levels checked by using High Performance Liquid Chromatography and triglyceride levels checked by using Gliserophospooxidase. This study is an analitic observasional study with cross sectional method. Data were analyzed using computer assistance with kolmogorov smirnov test for significance p>0,05 and the parametric test independent sample t-test with a significance p<0,05. Result from this study using secondary data 66 patients with type 2 diabetes, the type 2 diabetes controlled triglyserides obtained mean 197,30±154,53 mg/dl and in poorly uncontrolled type 2 diabetes obtained a mean triglyceride 175,24±147,05 mg/dl. Independent analysis results obtained sample t-test P value = 0,555 ( P> 0,05), we concluded that there is no significant difference between triglyceride levels in patients with type 2 diabetesuncontrolled and uncontrollable.
