Abstract

Papaya leaves have efficacy as antipyretics, analgesics, antimalarial, gastritis, and appetizer. Know papaya leaves extract can be made preparations anti acne creams. Research aims to understand extract leaves pepaya can be made preparation anti acne cream , and to know the influence of concentration extract leaves pepaya to test the quality of physical preparation cream Making papaya leaves extract with the methods maceration for 5 days by using a solvent ethanol 96 % . Creams of papaya leaves extract were made in o/w type in various concentrations, i.e. formula I (0.5% extract), formula II (1% extract), formula III (2% extract). And then the creams were tested for their physical quality and stability of the products. The physical quality test including organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, distribution, and the cream’s type. The stability test was observed for a month. Data was analyzed using one way Anova continued with Post Hoc test at 95% confidence. The result of the study was that Papaya leaves extract in concentrations of 0.5%, 1%, and 2% could be made cream product which met the physical quality test and product stability. Cream extract leaves pepaya at concentrations 1% it has value of viscosity 220 d.pas power and attaching 12: 57 seconds is the result of the largest concentration compared with cream another.
