Abstract

Antibiotics are substances produced by microbes, especially fungi, which can inhibit microbial growth or eradicate other types. Antibiotics can also be made synthetically. Antimicrobial disinfectant interpreted as harmful microbes, especially humans. Cefixime is the name of the generic drug antibiotic third generation cephalosporin class that already has a beta-lactam ring. Cefixime is a semisynthetic antibiotic class cephalosorin for oral administration and has a broad activity spectrum of microorganisms inhibits gram-positive and gram negative bacteria and is very stable to enzyme beta-lactamase producing organisms. Lanfix® is an antibiotic drug, a drug product patent of Cefixime produced by Landson. Retrieval of data from Surakarta Farma Pharmacy. This research used total sampling method, namely by taking the data from the book sales of antibiotics. To compare and Lanfix® Cefixime drug use in 2015 used the t-test. Results of use at Pharmacies Farma Surakarta, Surakarta from January to December 2015: Cefixime 100 mg as 100 mg Lanfix® 3750 and as many as 457. The results of the t-test is obtained probability 0,000> 0,05 so that Ho is rejected, or the proceeds from the use Cefixime 100 mg there were significant differences with Lanfix® 100 mg.
