Abstract
Antioxidant is a compound that can be used to overcome oxydative damage induced by free radical. A phenolic compound serves as antioxidant. Duku (Lansium domesticum Correa) plant contains phenolic compound. The study was aimed to determaine the antioxidant activity of ethanolic extract of duku leaves to DPPH radicals with IC50 parameters and screening phytochemistry of ethanolic extract of duku leaves. Duku leaves powder was macerated with 70% ethanol. The duku leaves extract was analyzed the screening phytochemistry. Then duku leaves extract was tested antioxidant activity to DPPH radical by measuring absorbance by spectrophotometer, then it was calculated the percentage of reduction and IC50 value. Rutin was used as a positive control. This research result showed that ethanolic extract of duku leaves had antioxidant activity with a value IC50 of 98,82 ppm. Duku leaves ethanolic extract contained phenolic compound, tannin, flavonoid, triterpenoid, alkaloid, and saponin. Keywords: Duku leaves (Lansium domesticum Correa), Antioxidant, DPPH
