Abstract
Anemia was a condition in which levels of hemoglobin (Hb) in the person’s blood was lower than normal. This study aimed to determine how the patternsnof medication use in elderly patients whoes anemia was detected in inpatient in Dr Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten in 2015 as well as compatibility with formularies hospital. The method used in this research was descriptive non-experimental, by way of making medical records of elderly patients in the inpatient in Dr Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten in the year 2015. The data used were age, sex, drug therapy given and long maintenance. The data be as many as 107 patients from the medical record. The results showed that the pattern of use of anti anemia in elderly patients in the inpatient at Dr Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten in 2015 of the most frequently used were folic acid, vitamin B12 and ferrous sulfate, and suitability drug used anti anemia in elderly patients was appropriate 100% with hospital formularies.
