Abstract
Katuk (SauropusandrogynusL.Merr) leavesis a traditional medicine used to increase breast milk, and medications of acne, fever, ulcers, and respiratory infections.The aim of this study was to find out whether katuk leaves extract could be made cream product which met the physical quality test and impact on test quality of physical cream. To research this leaves katuk in the extractin in maceration with solvent ethanol 70%, next extract concentrated by using an oven, so obtained extract viscous. The creams were made in 3 formulas with difference concentrations of ceraalba and propylene glycol. Formula I (0.2g : 1.3g), formula II (0.5g : 1.8g), formula III (0.8g : 2.3g). Creams were physically tested including organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, dispersive power, adhesiveness,and type of cream.Result of the tests was analyzed statistically by one way Anova continued with TukeyPost Hoc test at 95% confidence to know the best and the most stable cream formula during storage. The result of the study showed that katuk leaves extract cream with variations basis cera alba and propylenglikol impact on the quality of physical cream. In a formula III with low cera alba and propilenglikol (0,8 g : 2,3 g) give physical quality by test viscosity intermediate, attaching high power and resources will mobilize small, compared with a formula I and II by concentration of the cera alba and propilenglikol (0,2 g : 1,3 g) dan (0,5 g : 1,8 g).
