Abstract
Chloramphenicol is one type of derivative amfenicol antibiotics, chloramphenicol are also used topically for the treatment of infections, because the broad spectrum anti-bacterial. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the base of the physical quality test and stability cream chloramphenicol. The making cream chloramphenicol is by mixing the oil phase and the aqueous phase to homogeneous. Cream which has been created and than tasted his physical quality that is, organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, viscosity test, test of the scatter and adhesiveness. The results of the data obtained were processed with statistical processing by using oneway ANOVA with 95% confidence level. From the research result show that the difference in base variations tween 80 and span 80 effect on the quality physical and stability of the test cream. Formula 3 with variations base tween 80 and span 80 showed good physical properties. Keywoards: Cream, Chloramphenicol, Tween 80, Span 80.
