Abstract
ODT is a generic term for a tablet is crushed (disintegrated) quickly or immediately in the mouth and swallowed particles of substances that exhibit characteristics immediate release. ODT provide benefits for geriatrics and pediatri groups who have difficulty in swallowing conventional tablets. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the combination of superdisintegrant Ac-Di-Sol® and Primojel® against metoclopramide ODT eligible ODT physical quality test, and determine the proportion of the combination of superdisintegrant Ac-Di-Sol® and Primojel® against metoclopramide ODT are on time disintegrate quickly. Research carried out by making 3 formula in combination with metoclopramide ODT superdisintegrant Ac-Di-Sol® and Primojel® by comparison: F1 (2%: 7%); F2 (3%: 6%); F3 (4%: 5%), made with the direct printing method. ODT evaluated with generated using parameters such as: weight uniformity, uniformity of size, uniform content, hardness, friability, disintegration time, upon wetting, perceptive sense, and the disintegration time in-vivo.The resulting data were compared with other literature, and then analyzed by ANOVA one way and SNK test at 95% confidence level. The results showed that the combination of superdisintegrant Ac-Di-Sol® and Primojel® affect the physical quality test ODT metoclopramide. Combination superdisintegrant Ac-Di-Sol® Primojel® 2% and 7% resulted in disintegration time faster than other formula, ie 51.21 seconds.
